In 2024, Jiangyin City, Jiangsu Province launched a large-scale municipal water supply pipeline transformation project. In this key project related to urban water supply safety and people's livelihood, high-performance HDPE (high-density polyethylene) pipes have become the core materials of the transformation project with their good product advantages, providing strong technical support for Jiangyin City to build a modern water supply network.
1. The key role of HDPE pipes in Jiangyin water supply transformation
In the transformation of the pipeline network in the old urban area of Jiangyin City, HDPE pipelines mainly undertake three missions: comprehensively replace old pipes such as cast iron and concrete that are more than 30 years old, and solve the problems of burst pipes and leakage caused by aging of the pipeline network. Secondly, optimize the water supply pressure regulation through the application of new pipes to improve the insufficient water pressure in some areas. More importantly, build a modern pipeline system with a long service life to lay the foundation for the sustainable development of the city. In the construction of new urban areas, HDPE pipes adapt to complex geological conditions with their flexible laying methods, which improves the efficiency of pipeline network construction.
